The Pricing Analyst functions as a collaborative partner with Merchandising and Marketing to analyze strategies that will deliver financial results and ensure competitive advantage.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with complex data sets to develop pricing models that help determine competitive, every day, promotional, and seasonal pricing based on multiple sources of data.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the effective pricing strategies and definitions based on Category, Department, Competitive and Customer goals Collaborate with category managers on pricing rules and strategies that will support the achievement of sales and margin targets Help implement pricing business processes in partnership with category managers and other pricing analysts for review of pricing recommendations Assess data from a variety of internal and external sources, deriving insight into pricing strategies and market trends Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing, asses market share and margins, and track customer engagement Usage of statistical modeling methods to articulate impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on margins, revenue and retail costs Analyze data related to ROI for existing marketing and promotional programs, analyze customer response to marketing efforts Analyze and execute reports that allow for decision making, impact modeling and in-store execution including but not limited to predictive capabilities, geography, competitive price zone impact, and customer impact Present findings and analysis to teams across the organization Work with category managers to monitor, audit, and analyze cost changes submitted by vendors
Qualifications:
Current Food Safety Management Certification, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire Strong knowledge of retail Bakery Department products and operations 1
years of experience in a retail Bakery department, cake decorating experience preferred Able to work a flexible schedule Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Finance/Economics/Statistics) or 2
years of quantitative analytics, preferably pricing Analytical / Critical thinker Strong verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail, well-organized, and reliable Ability to leverage analytics and insights to generate meaningful solutions Demonstrated professional success, with an ability to deal with ambiguity, change, and a dynamic business environment Knowledge Requirements Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel data manipulation (functions to include:
Pivot tables, Vlookups, and Sum Ifs) Microsoft Access experience preferred Forecasting and analytics experience is a plus Grocery, CPG or retail experience a must Nielsen or Symphony IRI syndicated data experience Experience analyzing multiple data sources and gathering business requirements Version:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
